Have you been affected by the current cold weather in the UK?

I am working from home today as I have made the effort to get to London all week and yesterday we spent around 6hours commuting which finally broke the back for me of this so I decided to stay at home today.

The thing is it is not the roads that are the problem it would seem First Capital Connect trains just don't like the cold weather.

Hmmm well, I live in Lincolnshire and work at a Primary School. Despite most of the other schools in the town I live in closing on Wednesday when it was particularly bad here, ours stayed open. So I would have to say that pretty much, things have kept moving. Hubby drives 15 miles to work and has managed it everyday on country roads but I note that people seem to be panic buying in the supermarkets and if you want bread, you better buy some flour and yeast and learn to bake!
Standing out on the playground at playtime and dinner time is miserable at the moment. The kids love it but the wind goes right through me no matter how many layers I wear so right now I could do with seeing the last of it even though it hasn't affected my day to day life. Just my core body temperature maybe...
